Peripheral neuropathy occurs when specific nerves become damaged, changing the way those nerves transmit messages. There is always an underlying cause that has created or continues to create the damage. The most common cause being diabetes. Damaged [peripheral] nerves can often be regenerated and will seek this process naturally. As there are many causes (see below) of peripheral neuropathy, the obvious for need is to remove/stop/reduce the cause. Once progress is made to reduce or stop the cause, there are very specific applications (needs of the nerve) one can utilize to bring about regeneration within the peripheral nervous system.
